I run openSUSE 11.4. The system worked well for two

I did not change anything in the settings, just usual system updates.
I have the sound disappeared from the system. After boot there is no
sound at all If to restart the sound system via Yast, the sound
appears in one application, but after closing that app there is again
no sound at all, in any application, including the same.
I tried this with Mplayer, Kaffeine, Hydrogen, Savage 2. Even copying
/dev/random to /dev/dsp does not work.
lsoff does not indicate any sound devices to be occupied.
I have standard Asus P5B motherboard with Intel HDA sound.
Once I received a messagebox "error loading sound drived" but did not
receve such messages again.
Ilya, are you a sound group member?
