Glenn, It's been in factory for weeks. -rc7 the last time I looked (a couple weeks ago). -rc9 was in kernel:HEAD at that time. along those lines, I submitted a KMP and associated userspace to filesystems that is for 3.1 (os 12.1). https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/86956 https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/87126 It's been a week and half so far. Can anyone tell me how long I should expect the review to take? I'm on this list if anyone wants to ask questions about it. It's self described as a test module for a ext4 snapshot extension, so it is not expected to be perfect but it is definitely ready for some heavier testing. I think snapper support for it is also close. I'll note here that the test tools we built for it failed with 3.1-rc6 and -rc7, but worked fine with -rc9. Hello Greg, tried to clone the repo from GitHub but for some reason it fails...
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/87126 And similar question here - where did you get the sources from? I'd like to verify authenticity - well, I know you reasonably well so I trust you but I'd prefer to be able to verify it before I accept the request...

Hello Greg,
along those lines, I submitted a KMP and associated userspace to filesystems that is for 3.1 (os 12.1).
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/86956 Hmm, why is ext4dev_module.tar.gz part of this package?
That should have been deleted. Sorry. fyi: it was a copy of module source code that worked with 3.1-rc6. It had to be updated to work with 3.1-rc7
Also where did you get the sources from?
I got it from Amir Goldstein who I think you know. He actually did most of the work of building the KMP package. We're co-maintainers of the project.
I've tried to clone the repo from GitHub but for some reason it fails...
Amir might be able to explain that. This is the ext4dev KMP source repo in question. ===== userspace below
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/87126 And similar question here - where did you get the sources from?
Again, from Amir. He's the lead developer and I've agreed to be the openSUSE maintainer. For both of these packages he actually uploaded the tarballs so he will have to provide details if you need them.
I'd like to verify authenticity - well, I know you reasonably well so I trust you but I'd prefer to be able to verify it before I accept the request...
No problem.
