I don't think so. Looking at the upstream history of driver hid-logitech-dj, I see that this patch was indeed reverted in kernel 3.10, but then the original patch was applied again in kernel 3.11 (i.e. the revert was reverted.) This last fix was deemed important enough that it made its way to stable kernel 3.10.27. So I'm afraid that applying the revert to the openSUSE 12.3 kernel would cause more trouble than it would fix.
