[opensuse-kernel] Current factory kernel fails to boot - openSUSE 11.3 master works
I got very early an OOPS in the kernel on my netbook, updating to 11.3 head fixes it. Will somebody submit a fixed kernel for RC2, please? I think it's more of the DSDT initramfs fun. Can you try a kernel with the following changelog entry: - patches.suse/add-initramfs-file_read_write: Fixed typo. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkwjaI8ACgkQLPWxlyuTD7IKmQCfQMJpzAkeQqO2jeZJc48dT8lk oDUAni6jnfDTm1334g1vWigjUxKvbCh5 =g5QD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

That was in the kernel I tried and which worked, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Ok, great. Thanks. I just realized I had read your original post wrong and that it wasn't broken any longer for you. :) - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkwkr6gACgkQLPWxlyuTD7LmLQCgobaHTbx0ybbT5iHCRK5QQRHy DYMAoJsTl6W1Q4txepXGXOzLocYIw10k =gI4h -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
