[opensuse-kernel] experiencing corruption in ext4 partitions
Hi, for a couple of months now my /abuild partition is running as ext4 filesystem (previously with extents enabled). Starting with the 2.6.30-10 update, I have regular filesystem corruption within hours (and the associated machine crash soon afterwards) on this partition. downgrading to 2.6.30-8 fixes this issue for me. opensuse Factory, x86_64 Did we change something ? I'm not seeing anything related to ext4 in the differences between -8 and -10. I'm in San Diego this week, but I can take another look at it next week. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkpmM1wACgkQLPWxlyuTD7LgPwCgl5/81hL6n7ZYQM+GfA68q7ov ltEAnRJ4DrlEhSBDWiCz0r8/LmzVGK0c =0Ti5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

If thats true, then the error should reoccur with -8, which I'm testing now (~12 hours uptime, thats factor 3 more than before). I'll know until next week :) Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
