I also have another issue about this kernel. It succeeded to boot, GUI ran well, but I it failed to run 'wvdial' to my 3G Modem.
I have ZTE USB 3G Modem[0], worked fine on last kernels (default openSUSE 11.1 kernel, and 2.6.30-2).
The log after I launch 'usb_modeswitch': http://pastebin.ca/1511751
'wvdial': http://pastebin.ca/1511759
and the kernel is 2.6.31-rc4-4-default
Any clues, please?
usb-serial devices don't work very well in 2.6.31-rc4, it will be fixed in the next release.
So there's no need to report it to the bugzilla, right?
As it should be fixed already in -rc5, no :)
But if -rc5 is causing you problems, please let us know.
Great! It works on rc5 both 2.6.31-rc5-git3-12 and 2.6.31-rc5-git3-13. Thanks. Best regards., Andi S. -- AndiSugandi™ is andi.opensuse-id.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
