I think at least the extraversion tag needs to be updated in the config files
for every release.
I've been working with the packaging process and that's been causing
build failures. kernel-source is very simple to build - it only depends
on the patches applying and then packaging up whatever's there. The
binary packages have more complex spec files and we're working out the

binaries are failing.
