[opensuse-kernel] booting opensuse 13.2 server -- non-Xen & no SAS drives -- reports 'fail' at boot on xen modules and sas probes?
I'm booting a non-Xen opensuse 13.2 server to uname -rm 3.19.3-1.gf10e7fc-default x86_64 I'm not booting to Xen. Xen & kernel-xen are installed, just not used. Yet. I have no sas drives; all are sata (in RAID arrays). Before migrating to Xen I'm doing housecleaning on the boot process In the boot logs I see these journalctl -b | egrep -i "sas |sas:|fail" Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-evtchn' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-gntdev' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-gntalloc' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-blkback' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-netback' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-pciback' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'evtchn' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'gntdev' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'netbk' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'blkbk' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-scsibk' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'usbbk' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'pciback' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'xen-acpi-processor' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'blktap2' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd-modules-load[161]: Failed to find module 'blktap' Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd[1]: systemd-modules-load.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE Apr 04 08:37:48 xen01 systemd[1]: Failed to start Load Kernel Modules. I'd like to remove the source of 'fails' and wasted cycles on boot. What config(s) do I need to set to prevent these checks, and their fails?
