Hi,
I see a lot of very ugly kernel bugs reported for 12.3 and about no action in them from kernel maintainers.
Is there any hope you guys can look?
I did not find a fix for any hard lockup in mainline. Please post the second screenshot as Jiri requested.
The fix for this one went into mainline as commit b514407 on 2013.01.17 with a notation for backporting to stable. It was incorporated into 3.7.6, and should be in the current 12.3 kernel 3.7.7. I just added a comment to the b.n.c bug report for Will to test again, and added him to the Cc list.
This one is due to 3rd party vendors not correctly tracking kernel API changes. Are we responsible is vmware and nvidia cannot fix their drivers? It seems that virtualbox can and does. If we need to fix this, a simple link will handle it. All I want is action in the bug report.
The code in this routine has not been touched in mainline since Jan 2012. This bug probably persists; however, there is a NEEDINFO pending on this bug report.
the needinfo came after my mails though - and the crash is also about NFS. Just like mine. Thanks Jiri and Larry so far. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
