Hallo ! Since I updated to kernel 2.6.22.12-0.1-default my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1501, Turion 64X2 TL50) has problems with the shutdown. When I log out of KDE and say turn off, everything is fine until the last step, where the computer normaly should power off. The last message that appears is something like "sending all processes the term signal...) and nothing more happens until I press the power button - this is when it really turns off. The same happens when I say "init 0" as root, "init 6" works fine.
I am running OpenSUSE 10.3 with kde 3.5.7. The kernel update was from a official opensuse reopsitory, no build service. I updated last friday (november 7th). All other kernel updates that I got through the openSUSE repositories worked fine.
Is there a switch or a config-file where I can configure what happens in the runlevels ?
I would appreciate, if somebody could help me.
Please file a bug report for this.
