With Build 0186 of the KDE Live CD and kernel 3.0, no driver for the PCI version of the Ralink 2800 devices is configured as shown below: larry@linux-4khf:~> zcat /proc/config.gz | grep 2800 # CONFIG_RT2800PCI is not set CONFIG_RT2800USB=m CONFIG_RT2800USB_RT33XX=y # CONFIG_RT2800USB_RT35XX is not set CONFIG_RT2800USB_RT53XX=y # CONFIG_RT2800USB_UNKNOWN is not set CONFIG_RT2800_LIB=m larry@linux-4khf:~> I think this driver was not selected in earlier versions because of a conflict with the staging driver rt2860; however, that driver was removed in 3.0.
