What happened to http://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/HEAD/x86_64/kernel-source-2. 6.27-rc9.HEAD_20081009181916.x86_64.rpm ? There is only kernel-source-2.6.27-rc9.HEAD_20081009181916.src.rpm. kernel-source-2.6.27-rc9.HEAD_20081009181916.i586.rpm is now found in .../HEAD/i386 , in .../HEAD/i586 is only the .src.rpm, all other arches have both the .src.rpm and the <arch>.rpm like before.
The build service is currently having "issues" (i.e. no power) combined with a problem of getting working kernels the past few days due to a lot of changes we made to the packages, contributed to a loss of the KOTD packages.
Give us a few days to get it all working again.
2.6.27-rc9.HEAD_20081009181916 with kernel-source-....x86_64.rpm generated from .src.rpm works fine for me. With 2.6.27-HEAD_20081010035644 the issue with the missing x86_64.rpm seems to be fixed. But 2.6.27-HEAD_20081010035644-default fails now in early boot stage with a kernel-panic: "cannot execute /init". Is this what you meant with " a problem of getting working kernels" ?
No, we were having problems getting kernels built :) That's not a good error to have, is the initrd found properly? Your block devices? We're going to need more information. Do you have both the -base and -default packages installed? thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
