Hi Jan, 'is not able' means that I am able to suspend the normal kernel, but not the xen kernel. I have not changed the pm-tools and I have not found any readme or howto that suggests to do that for the xen case. Also, I was not able to find anything usefull in /var/log/pm-suspend.log how can I find you what you need to know so that i can check what does and what does not work? I am running Linux linux-vlnb 2.6.27.7-9-default #1 SMP 2008-12-04 18:10:04 +0100 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux or respectively the xen version of it. best, Volker Jan Beulich wrote:

is it normal that the xen kernel of suse 11.1 is not able to suspend?
'is not able' meaning exactly what? I think the kernel itself can suspend, but the scripts/tools used to invoke suspend may not properly handle the Xen case...
