So I have no idea why that path would be bash, and also evidence to suggest that it's proven to be a poor choice in practice (Fedora nash, Ubuntu dash).
To be fair, nash has also been proven to be a poor choice in practice. I don't know if dash is better, it's just SMALLER than bash, and has a much lower impact on the system regarding a) loading the binary (although from ram I doubt you could really say it takes a long time) b) dependencies on other libraries (linker time, which is the real problem) c) size of the initrd (even static dash is smaller than the dynamically linked bash) -- Matt Sealey <matt@genesi-usa.com> Genesi, Manager, Developer Relations -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
