Hi,
I am trying to install a Huawei e173 3G Modem in open SUSE 12.2, on an eee-pc 901. Unfortunately it is not recognized. There is a simcard in it that is recognized on the other os.(W7) And also the 'CD' part, where the data is flashed, is recognized on the other os, and can be accessed and manipulated. The modem is unlocked, and the firmware is updated. In open suse only the small SD card is recognized and accessible.
I tried to install the drivers but i got this message:
Please input the absolute path for install[/usr/local/Movistar_3.5G]: /usr/local/Mobile_Partner/
Local path is: /usr/local/Mobile_Partner//Movistar_3.5G
I believe you are in the wrong route.. First, try updating your kernel from Kernel:HEAD repository and see if the device is shown. After that tell us what "hwinfo" says about it and post kernel messages if any. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
