JFTR: I seem to see something similar (AFAICT), but since it is with my own home:seife:KOTD kernel (which is a kernel-desktop, but without PAE, for Pentium M machines), I did not dare to loudly complain.
Still need to try to get something out of the serial console...
I did not see anything like this on LKML. What kernel version last worked? Do the kernels from kernel.org without openSUSE patches show the same problem? If so, any chance to do a bisection?
It would be hard to do. The machine is slow (for todays standards at least ;) and it's my main machine. If the Patch Tejun mentioned does not help, I'll be inclined to do it, but not yet. Note that this happens for me only with my special home:seife:KOTD "kernel-desktop-without-the-need-for-PAE" kernel, but not with the kernel-default from kernel:HEAD, so saying "it does not crash with vanilla" might be a bit bit bold due to the heisenbug nature of the issue.
