Yeah, if all the previous kernels are really gone, it looks risky. Maybe we can drop Obsolete tag but only give Provides tag, supposing the multi-version allows it? Need to test...
It will certainly work for this use case. But it will not do the right thing during a zypper dup / offline update to a new release, where you expect the old packages to be removed.
