Hello dear kernel hackers. Kernel:HEAD 3.19-rc1 has disabled CFG80211_WEXT. That's intended by upstream to actually wake up people still relying on the old Wireless Extensions. People like me. :-) I'm actually just using it with "iwconfig" to find out, which frequency I'm on right now (2.4 or 5 GHz). I'm not at all proposing to bring back CFG80211_WEXT, but I would be interested in alternatives to wireless-tools.rpm Best regards, seife -- Stefan Seyfried "For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled." -- Richard Feynman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
