Hi openSUSE-kernel team,
I would like to send the fix-patch for the Lenovo wireless (primax) keyboards which have a hardware bug reporting of their HID info, etc. I could (and do duly) apply it to every kernel update, however it is quite a nuisance (because the fix involves changes to the hid-core unit and requires the entire kernel recompilation).
Is it possible to integrate this fix into next releases? The patch (applied and tested on kernel-4.4.126_48_default) is attached. It is an adjusted version of the original patch found at: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/377830/linux-hid-driver-for-primax-...
Hi Sergei, thank you for caring about a good kernel. As a general policy, we cannot take patches to our kernel that have not gone upstream. So it would be good for sonebody, perhaps you, to propose this patch for inclusion in the upstream kernel. You do so by proposing it on the appropriate mailing list. Furthermore, as this is a bug, we would like to track it. We use Bugzilla for this purpose. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org Please make an entry for this issue and add the links to the web sites describing the solution and attach your proposed patch.
