Yeah - I'm guessing it doesn't have what I need for elantech.c either. If I can get to the Linux kernel bug tracker I can pull down patches and see if my laptop works with them. Really at this point all I want is for the kernel to recognize the touchpad and let me turn it off when I have the USB mouse plugged in. I did try kernel-default-3.1.rc4-4.2.x86_64.rpm and it was *not* fixed there as far as I can tell. When kernel.org comes back up, I'll see what I can find.
You could get linux-3.1-rc5.tar.bz2 from the following: https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=kernel-source&project=Kernel%3AHEAD
