Hi Greg, thanks for your answer. Just to be on the safe side: Which repository holds the new kernel you refered to? Is it the following one: http://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/ thanks in advance, best, Volker Greg KH wrote:

Hi,
I used Suse 11.1 with the provided kernel and as Ubuntu, I used 8.10.
Suse: Linux linux-vlnb 2.6.27.7-9-default #1 SMP 2008-12-04 18:10:04 +0100 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Can you try the latest version of the opensuse kernel in the kernel-of-the day repository? I think this issue has already been fixed in one of the later 2.6.27.y releases (we are up to 2.6.27.12 already.)
If there are still problems, please file a bug and we will work on resolving it.
thanks,
