Hi, I have a laptop Acer Aspire R11 running leap 42.1. In order to have everything working I need to run it with a recent kernel. Right now I'm using the last kernelstable (4.7.3). The only issue remaining is the sd card not being detected. In bug 954532 comments 24-26 it is reported that this issue is due to a module ordering problem. I have created a file in /etc/dracut.conf.d containing: add_drivers+=" pinctrl-cherryview" kernel_cmdline="rd.driver.pre=pinctrl_cherryview" and with that the sd card reader is working properly.
I was just wondering if this problem can be fixed in the upcoming Leap 42.2 so everything will work out of the box.
The situation must be same on 42.2. Could you open a new bug report and point to the bug 954532 as a reference? I guess adding a dracut module would be the easiest solution in this case, where it adds the pinctrl-cherryview driver depending on the installed machine. thanks, Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
