hi, a question to the SUSE employees on the list:
tried to install the latest KOTD form repo but it needs udev >=118
i use SUSE 10.3 and packages aut of .../repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_Factory/ and there is no update to udev 118 for 10.3 till now
will there be any or is it only for factory
No, there won't be an update to udev due to a kernel update in Factory. Factory is the staging area for the next release, so any packages taken from Factory must have their dependencies met also from Factory.
if not then ..../repositories/Kernel:/Vanilla/openSUSE_10.3/ should be corrected cause the dependencies are also udev 118
That's strange. The regular opensuse 10.3 packages don't have that dependency. Jan's the project maintainer, so I've CC'd him. It could be a build service problem, though. -Jeff -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
