[Bug 1191322] Optimize building initrd when updating system
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1191322 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1191322#c9 --- Comment #9 from Martin Wilck <martin.wilck@suse.com> --- (In reply to Ulrich Windl from comment #8)
The OS-prober is way to dumb and inefficient.
Right. I'd always recommend to disable it and use custom.cfg instead, with something like menuentry 'other linux on partition 35' { set root=hd0,msdos35 configfile=/boot/grub2/grub.cfg } (In reply to Ulrich Windl from comment #7)

Can you see which packages triggered the update-booloader invocations?
Unsure I'll find it from the logs, but my guess is (among others): lvm2, virtual box kernel modules, kernel modules, kernel, mdadm, device mapper, etc.
How did you obtain the output from comment 4? I see update-bootloader invocations in /var/log/zypp/history. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
