Hi Takashi, My two machines both use Secure Boot. The desktop tower boots the 5.3.18-lp152.69-default kernel just fine. It is my much newer laptop that will not. On the laptop, I did try all the boot options you've suggested: "quiet" and "splash=silent" were removed, and I added "nomodeset" "earlyprintk=efi" "dis_ucode_ldr" "intel_iommu=off" and "acpi=off". I did get some boot screen output, but not a successful boot. Also new was that the keyboard remained active, and <Ctrl><Alt><Del> did work now. The last line on the screen was "input: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input2". A very few lines above this one was a message something like the touchpad says it supports a different bus and a suggestion to try setting "psmouse.synaptics_intertouch" to 1. Another boot with the options above and "psmouse.synaptics_intertouch=1" only got rid of the message but left the boot hanging with the same last message as before ("input: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad..."). I rebooted the laptop into Tumbleweed (both computers multiboot), and it appears that none of the Leap 15.2 files in its /var/log/ directory were updated by either of these test boots. I will attach hwinfo files for both computers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
