[kernel-bugs] [Bug 1172812] New: Thinkpad X1 Yoga gen 4: Kernel upgrade made microphone disappear
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1172812 Bug ID: 1172812 Summary: Thinkpad X1 Yoga gen 4: Kernel upgrade made microphone disappear Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: 64bit OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: pointedstick@zoho.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I got a new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga recently and installed TW on it. As of yesterday, with the latest available Kernel, sof-firmware, and PulseAudio 14 (built from source and installed to /usr/local), I had the audio in the following condition: - Working microphone - Working 4-channel audio, albeit without any bass - Unplugged HDMI and DisplayPort audio devices pointlessly showed up in PulseAudio volume control and plasma-pa System Tray applet/KCM After today's Tumbleweed update, The following things improved: - The audio profile in PulseAudio changed to "Analog Surround 4.0 Output" - The unplugged HDMI and DisplayPort audio devices disappeared from PulseAudio volume control and plasma-pa System Tray applet/KCM However the following things regressed: - Microphone no longer appears in PulseAudio volume control and plasma-pa System Tray applet/KCM This is kind of sucky as the device has a nice quad microphone arrangement and now it's just not visible at all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Will file a new clean bug report. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
