[Bug 1182518] New: Current NVIDIA-GFXG04 kernel driver is incompatible with all kernels available in repository
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1182518 Bug ID: 1182518 Summary: Current NVIDIA-GFXG04 kernel driver is incompatible with all kernels available in repository Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: Ruben.Schattevoy@manasas.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The current NVIDIA GFXG04 kernel driver (390.141_k5.10.9_1-8.11) is incompatible with all kernels available in the repository (5.10.16 and 5.11.0). After the last software upgrade, my system no longer boots into graphics mode. Does anyone have a tip on how I can get a fully functional system again? As far as I understand the root cause, the following workaround would fix my problem: Downgrade to kernel 5.10.9 and block kernel upgrades until NVIDIA finally managed to update their driver to the latest kernel version 5.11. Is there a repository that provides kernel 5.10.9? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
