B - Art, with a fresh reboot after TLP has been disabled, please try out whether power/control to auto causes the bug C - Frank, after stopping tlp.service, please confirm that returning power/control to auto the bug reappears D - Art, after stopping tlp.service, please confirm that setting power/control to on fixes the bug

D - Confirmed. Stopping tlp.service and waiting 60 seconds results in /power/control = ON and no bug behavior is observed JFYI: For me it switches almost immediately from auto to on, resulting in a working ethernet network.
