[Bug 1204786] Boot is hanging when intel Ethernet Controller I225-LM [8086:15f2] is enabled
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1204786 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1204786#c10 --- Comment #10 from Bechir BEN KAHLA <bechir.kahla@suse.com> --- (In reply to Takashi Iwai from comment #9)
Thanks. The kernel log doesn't show anything doubtful through a quick glance.
Then can you try to get the stack traces of the tasks via alt-sysrq-t? Try to enable the all sysrq beforehand (e.g. pass "sysrq_always_enabled" boot option).
I talked with Thomas Bogendoerfer about the issue and he advised me to test with the kernel from SLES15sp5 as it has a closer igc driver sources to upstream. Even with that kernel the issue is reproduced, log are attached, but does not have anything relevant on it as well. The only thing is that with the kernel from SLES15SP5 the problem is less frequent to happen. I am trying to reproduce and as soon as I reproduce the issue I will collect the stack traces from the different tasks with sysrq -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
