Created attachment 845172 [details] dmesg with running kernel
With kernel 5.3.18-lp152.60-default I can't get into the machine, only "out of range" will appear. So I made a rollback to the running system. There is no other machine available by the time, I'm sorry. So I cannot get into the system by ssh or other method. Hope for assistance by other user with the same problem: AMD Graphics and DVI-Port.
But you could login (without seeing it), right? Or it was completely frozen? If it's only about graphics, you could do the normal reboot (e.g. via ctrl-alt-del) and get the previous boot log, or typing blindly to login and get dmesg output to a file, then reboot. Also, please give the full contents of dmesg output, not truncated one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

For log-file with the ***.60 kernel I have to update the machine once more with it. But I must work now with a running system! Excuse me ... I will try later. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

This could be overcome in analogy to Bug 1177384: Log-in via console from a different machine and executing the following 4 commands % mkdir /lib/modules/5.3.18-lp152.60-default/extra % cp /lib/modules/5.3.18-lp152.57-default/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/radeon/radeon.ko /lib/modules/5.3.18-lp152.60-default/extra/ % depmod 5.3.18-lp152.60-default % mkinitrd ("%" is a replacement for my command prompt) Hope this helps - H.Braun -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I found that the very same patch was mistakenly slipped into the SLE15-SP2/Leap15.2 kernel because it had a different commit ID from the previous one (that was reverted as the fix). I dropped the patch now. Meanwhile you can keep using the old kernel module as Hans described in comment 6. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
