Hm, it's some setup thing. While it reproduces in osc shell environment, I
cannot reproduce in a VM with that kernel installed, nor with a compiled
kernel.
Happens on x86_64 too. Switching to that as it's more common.
I really love these issues. To be continued.
What happens is that tar'ing of a sparse 8G file (512B at the end) creates a
proper archive. Untar'ing (using xvf) creates a zeroed 512B file with the bad
kernel (5.7). Good kernel untars to a proper 8G file, indeed.
