[Bug 1180481] New: Linux 5.10.1 with encrypted /home partition stuck at boot
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1180481 Bug ID: 1180481 Summary: Linux 5.10.1 with encrypted /home partition stuck at boot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: andreas_nordal_4@hotmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The latest Tumbleweed kernel (Linux 5.10.1) hangs during boot. When I press Esc, I see repeated messages about "BUG: ", "runqueue", "cr-auto-1" (which is the block device that houses my /home) and being stuck. Booting into the previous kernel (Linux 5.9.14) works fine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Kernel:stable
Google found me the Kernel Of The Day repo, but kernel-default-5.11.rc1-1.1.gacbbbf7 failed for a different reason: Something about needing to load the kernel first. But in the meantime, kernel 5.10.3 has come to Tumbleweed, and that apparently fixes it! Thank you for the quick response, Frank, and happy new year! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

Glad to hear that the issue is fixed with current TW kernel. By the way, with Kernel:stable I meant https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
