Indeed. For me the issue happened when connected to the 5Ghz AP. I have switched back to 5Ghz today and I have not seen a single driver error logged, and connection has worked all day. I have no special modprobe settings (things mentioned here did not work for me back in the day). It would seem that this has been "fixed", at least for me.
