[Bug 1183214] New: lots of artefacts with v5.11.2 kernel
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1183214 Bug ID: 1183214 Summary: lots of artefacts with v5.11.2 kernel Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: mbrugger@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: sndirsch@suse.com, tiwai@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I did a zypper dup on my Lenovo x230 (Intel HD Graphics 4000) yesterday. But when booting with the new v5.11.2 kernel, I see a lot of artefacts on picture updates (e.g. typing, scrolling). I booted v5.10.7 and everything works fine. I use the standard tumbleweed installation with wayland. The only logs that could be related that I found are a lots of entries like: gnome-shell[2764]: The offending signal was actor-removed on Gjs_ui_appDisplay_FolderGrid 0x5607aeead8c0. gnome-shell[2764]: Attempting to call back into JSAPI during the sweeping phase of GC. This is most likely caused by not destroying a Clutter actor or Gtk+ widget with ::destroy signals connected, but can also be caused by using the destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs. Because it would crash the application, it has been blocked and the JS callback not invoked. I doubt it has anything to do with what you see in the logs. The easiest way to figure this out is to bisect the kernel and find the offending commit. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

If the problem persists, it's time to report to the upstream, gitlab.freedesktop.org issues. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
