[Bug 1233416] cups-filters backend 'serial' causes kernel panic (e.g. via 'lpinfo -v')
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1233416 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1233416#c8 --- Comment #8 from Alex Ustinov <austinov@yandex.ru> --- Johannes, thank you for your comment, no problem. Tim is just another user experiencing the same thing on another laptop with Meteor Lake (he has Dell and I have Huawei, but both built on the same Intel system), the comment about the test without external devices was mine. Work on bug tracker issues is hard I can imagine that! Just a brief update, I am struggling with getting core dump via kdump. I set it up and see that some process is getting invoked when the crash occurs (with kdump the behavior is different when I provoke the crash - instead of locking with caps lock blinking, the computer waits for some time, sometimes I see console, and the computer reboots automatically as configured by kdump). But for some reason until now I could not get any dumps neither in local filesystem (I have LUKS encrypted rootfs and know it may cause issues), nor via sftp or ssh. I will keep trying to get kernel dumps from my system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
