It only happens when restarting, shutdowns are not affected. It can happen multiple times, but eventually there'll be a restart were the module loads just fine. Looks rather like some issue with the firmware (or the corresponding driver code). Could you try to downgrade the kernel-firmware-iwlwifi package from TW history repo? http://download.opensuse.org/history/

So this isn't about a regression on the recent TW updates? If you had a properly working system, we may narrow down the cause.
