https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1230622 Bug ID: 1230622 Summary: kernels from Kernel:/stable/standard cannot be used with LEAP Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.6 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: nettezzaumanaa@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Target Milestone: --- Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, sorry for this report .. Perhaps it is not bug .. Following repo always worked and it was always designed to be working with both LEAP and TW https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable/standard/ now it is not working with leap because it requires a filesystem >= 16 Problem: 1: the to be installed kernel-default-6.10.10-1.1.gfc3eac9.x86_64 conflicts with 'filesystem < 16' provided by the installed filesystem-15.0-11.8.1.x86_64 Solution 1: do not install kernel-default-6.10.10-1.1.gfc3eac9.x86_64 Could please kindly somebody look on that ? Rationale: I was historically always using this kernel repo with leap .. Just a first thing after installing leap cleanly I was adding kernel repo - especially on fancy hardware like new laptops .. This is actually my case now here .. I have new laptop and I have in my dmesg a death-cry from certain modules (i915 mostly) which can cause even crash of entire X # journalctl -b 0 | grep segf Sep 17 09:45:09 linux-1b6m kernel: kscreen_backend[2570]: segfault at 20 ip 00007f0a549814a9 sp 00007fff080565c8 error 4 in libc.so.6[7f0a54800000+1fb000] likely on CPU 0 (core 0, socket 0) thanks much and regards, ~dan -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
