OK, so it might be no regression on TW. That makes sense.
If Ubuntu still works with their old kernel and not the generic one, there can be some downstream patch there. Let's see whether it's confirmed.
I'm confirming that Bluetooth works Out-of-the-box with Ubuntu 20.04's Default kernel 5.4.0.53-generic .
