[opensuse-kde] Eric missing dependencies
The current version of eric in KDE4:Factory:Desktop for opensuse 11.1 x64 (and maybe other versions as well) has a number of dependencies that are not available in either the standard opensuse repositories or any of the KDE4 repositories. This may be because opensuse factory is using later versions of the packages, and it is possible to get the packages from other repositories, but if there is a way to avoid that it would be preferable. Here are the missing required packages: python-pysvn >= 1.7.0, opensuse 11.1 has 1.6.0, needed version found in devel:tools:scm:svn and Subversion repos python-logilab-astng >= 0.19.0, opensuse 11.1 has 0.17.3, needed version found in devel:languages:python repo python-logilab-common >= 0.43.0, opensuse 11.1 has 0.35.0, needed version not found in official repositories And missing recommended packages: python-rope >= 0.9.2, not present in opensuse 11.1, found in devel:languages:python repo python-enchant >= 1.5.3, opensuse 11.1 has 1.5.1, needed version not in official repos python-pylint >= 0.18.0, opensuse 11.1 has 0.15.0 of pylint but not python-pylint, neither pylint 0.18.0 nor python-pylint of any version are found in official repos I can understand something like KPackage requiring a single repository (smart) that has essentially only that one package (plus a couple of guis for it), since there is no chance of it causing conflicts. But requiring three additional repositories just to install the program, including one user repository, and each with a lot of packages that could cause conflicts with installed packages seems different to me. I am not sure if there is a way around it, it may just be something people using the KDE4:factory repo have to deal with, but hopefully there is some other way. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

No, this is a bug in the repo setup, and my installchecker is complaining about this as well, so I've added an attempt to fix it. Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
