[opensuse-kde] Kmail2 does not let you chose different standard domain
In the SMTP settings of KMail2 you can chose a different standard domain. This does not work for me, whatever I put in there, KMail2 does not use it. I think this domain name is used for message id creation, right? How the heck can I tell KMail2 to use a different domain name? I even changed /etc/hosts without success! This is quite unclear. Do you mean that you want to have different domain names in the from-address? If yes, you can have different identities with different domain names in the from address. When you prepare a message you can choose above the To field an identity. Connected with the identity you can choose the language to be used for spell checking. Maybe you need to have different sender servers also. Certain servers, like gmail, do not accept a different from-address than the address you use to send an email through that server. So in that case that server will change your from-address into the address that you use to authenticate. -- fr.gr.
