[opensuse-kde] Leap 15.2 plasmashell login issues?
Hi there, are there known issues with Leap 15.2 and logging into a KDE session? When I login to a Plasma/KDE session I often do not get my wallpaper and no system tray. I then have to start yakuake and invoke plasmashell --replace & After doing that I get the complete desktop with system tray and wallpaper.... Any workaround known? Thanks!

Try the following (in case a file of the desktopshell was compromised: do like you described and then make sure that the default setting (restore last desktop session) is changed to "open a new session". Then the desktop should come up working (if it is like the times I experienced this problem, no guarantee of course). I would also empty/erase the .cache folder (but from another user while that user is offline (e.g. with root) to make sure cache is reconstructed).

That did not help, but you gave me a good hint with "desktop session": According to https://userbase.kde.org/System_Settings/Desktop_Session I set "restore manually saved session" and that worked! I saved a working desktop session and after setting "restore manually..." the desktop starts fine now :-) best regards
