Hi All, Today I noticed a strange behavior when I tried to change my desktop wallpaper. When I try to browse for a new image file it will not show me any jpg files, unless I remove the .jpg file extension (then they show up). I do not have this problem with other applications. I know for sure that everything worked normal before Christmas. I made sure that the JPEG image settings are correct in the file associations menu, and I also checked that those wallpaper images are readable. Other images types do not have this problem (png, tif, xcf, etc, they all show up). I use SUSE 10 and KDE 3.5.0 Level a (latest files from the ftp supplements folder). Does someone else have those problems? Is this some glitch within the SUSE RPMs? A problem with one or more config files? I couldn't find anything in KDEs bug tracker. Google did not reveal anything useful either. Thanks, -- Sabine Konhaeuser

I faced the same problem with SUSE 10 and kde 3.5.0 level a. I deleted the directory "$HOME/.kde/share/mimelnk" and everything is ok since then. -- Chaitanya Chalasani

I'll give that a try when I use my laptop. Thanks. -- Sabine

It worked after I restarted KDE. Thanks again. Wonder what happened though, since my desktop, which uses pretty much the same software setup, doesn't show this phenomena. Oh well... -- Sabine
