[opensuse-kde] KDE 4.3 - Konqueror is dead on arrival for me
Why is it not possible anymore to use client certificates when accessing SSL-encrypted sites? lack of that basically makes konq 4.3 DOA for me. -- Die unaufgeforderte Zusendung einer Werbemail an Privatleute verstößt gegen §1 UWG und §823 I BGB (Beschluß des LG Berlin vom 2.8.1998 Az: 16 O 201/98). It does if you guess the right bugzilla ;-) https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=526319 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

... not the same problem... my problem is that i can't configure the use of client certificates. as in, tell konqueror "use this certificate for that site". the configuration page used to be in konquerors configuration dialog, seems to be MIA now. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Do you have a bug number for it or did you not yet file a bug although you think it is essential? Even if it is still possible, it seems too well hidden, so at least a usability bug would be valid. http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:KDE#Before_you_report_bugs Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I filed one against KDE itself, which got marked as duplicate of a bug saying that the SSL side of konqueror is basically incomplete, an utter mess, and unmaintained... -- Die unaufgeforderte Zusendung einer Werbemail an Privatleute verstößt gegen §1 UWG und §823 I BGB (Beschluß des LG Berlin vom 2.8.1998 Az: 16 O 201/98). Ok, then that's your answer. The feature does not seem to be important enough for volunteers to spend their time on and neither is anyone willing to spend money on it. As long as one is not willing to spend either money or time on something, one simply has to wait until others feel like doing so.
