Attempting to get bluetooth USB device working
Well, here is the rub, when ever I plug in the USB bluetooth transeiver I get an error mesage stating "Failed to connect to SDP Server". Details are not that very specific. I googled for possible fixes, but don't seem to be able to wade though and find anything that would point to a quick fix. Lots of details on kernel 2.4x, and patches neede to make it work, but I am on 2.6x. Full details: Dell Latitude C640 USB "Ultra" Bluetooth USB Adaptor model BTA-3000 SUSE 9.1 KDE 3.3x Can someone point me in the right direction to start, or offer any suggestions as to what I have goofed on? You have to install bluez-sdp....rpm (and the other bluez stuff) then do a rcbluetoth start and you can use kbluetoothd. Have fun Joern -- http://www.allmers.de
Yeap, checked that I have bluez-sdp and bluez-libs installed. Do I need to install Bluez-bluefw (bluetooth firmware loader). Lance On Wednesday 29 September 2004 23:46, Joern Allmers wrote:
