[opensuse-kde] KDE_42 Repositories Discontinued?
Was there an announcement on this list that the KDE_42 repositories would be going away? I just noticed they were gone. I normally follow this list closely, but I must have missed it if there was an announcement. I wasn't planning to move to KDE 4.3 until I upgraded this system to oS 11.2. That was going to be either in the week before the official release or in the week after. Unless these repositories are coming back, I guess I'll be moving up my timeline. Are the KDE 4.2 repositories gone for good, or are they just temporarily disappeared? -- Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. ,= ,-_-. =. bss@iguanasuicide.net ((_/)o o(\_)) ICQ: 514984 YM/AIM: DaTwinkDaddy `-'(. .)`-' http://iguanasuicide.net/ \_/

At least there was a warning that dropping of it was imminent. http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde/2009-10/msg00116.html Note that 4.3 is now in STABLE. Maybe that's the solution for you while you wait to move to 11.2 - or just stay with the packages you have. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Ah, thanks. I read that, I just didn't notice the last item I guess.

I'll probably just decline to update the system for a few days and try and move to oS 11.2 over the weekend. -- Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. ,= ,-_-. =. bss@iguanasuicide.net ((_/)o o(\_)) ICQ: 514984 YM/AIM: DaTwinkDaddy `-'(. .)`-' http://iguanasuicide.net/ \_/

I read it too but didn't undertstand it as "will be dropped tomorrow" There should be more time between announcment and action, maybe just stop publishing/building but don't just delete 2 days later. I thought it would just stay disabled until someone else said he'd take over, facing the reality we have no one who wants to do this, but this still isn't the same as dropping. This is no request to keep 4.2 around when 4.3 already moved into the next close to stable openSUSE release, but just to relax about timeframes.

Dunno what you are talking about, the KDE_42 repositories still exist eg http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE://42/openSUSE_11.1/ Bye, Steve -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Isn't something wrong with this picture too? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/42/openSUSE_11.1/x86_64/ Or maybe it's just the mirror I'm redirected to? At least I only se 10-12 packages there, all lib<something> However I'm in favour of using as little resources as possible (human or buildpower) on 4.2. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
