The right place to define the dpi value is /etc/X11/xorg.conf! "[...] Section "Monitor" [...] DisplaySize 286 216 (for example) [...]
and i dont know how to get the 2nd values for DisplaySize cause the Googled answers are so frustrating and different
Just measure the width and height of your monitor/display. For example my display measures 286mm x 216mm. X11 then calculates (and uses) the exact dpi-value.
sounds very simple i will give it a try (is this really a missing feature in KDE to set - yes, i know. the dpi-switch is not by KDE but of X, but KDE is the windowmanager for X - or is there a button or input field to set this cause i think this is one of the big advantages of a Linux System with X)
