Do the 3.1.95 rpms requires qt-3.3? Is qt-3.3 available? See following url: http://dot.kde.org/1074527533/1074544034/ -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Yup, seems so. First I tried to install the rpms from Adrian. That did not work because of missing qt3-3.3.0 packages. Later I discovered KDE-3.2-RC1, _with_ qt3-3.3.0, on ftp.kde.org. I'm running it now. Cheers, Leen

And isn't the newest 3.2 just grand? ;o) Some nice fixes and changes. For those that haven't seen it yet, you are in for a treat with KDE 3.2 final. I've got a question to any of those running the new KDE. In KMail, I can't seem to open kaddressbook anymore. I can open from a konsole or from a desktop icon, but I cannot open from within kmail. Neither from the menu or toolbar icon. Anyone else experiencing the same? Suggestions on how to fix? Lee -- --- KMail v1.6 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.0 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...

And I have stupidly hijacked a thread without realizing it until I hit send. My appologies, I will make a new one. Lee -- --- KMail v1.6 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.0 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...

Neither does ftp.kde.org. I noticed something strange about the qt3 rpms from 8.2 on ftp.kde.org: 1) they have no version numbers 2) from an inspection with midnight commander I learned that the qt3 packages are a mixture of 3.2.3 and 3.3.0 I had to uninstall a few packages on SuSE 8.2 that depended on qt3-3.2.3 to install KDE-3.2. On SuSE 9.0 all went well. and indeed: 3) no source rpms! IIRC, SuSE is usually one of the first who get their rpms out. Perhaps they hurried a bit too much this time, I _speculate_. I'm happy with the binary rpm's, tough! ;) Cheers, Leen
Hi, Yesterday Adrian update the supplementary directory at ftp.suse.com with KDE3-RC1 ( v3.1.95 ). Thanks Adrian.. Leendert Meyer wrote:
