Hello SuSE people, 11.4 x86 64 now GM with KDE4,6 Ever since I installed 11.4 (RC1?) several months back I have not been able to start Kmail. I just hoped that with each upgrade it would cure itself. Well it has not. When I try to open it I get the following message: Unable to run command specified The file or folder does not exist. file:///usr/share/applications/kde4/KMail2.desktop Well that is correct. It does not. However, I do have a file KMail.desktop and when I click on that it opens the Kmail wizard and the Kmail itself. How to fix??? KMail2 is the rewrite that has not yet been released. Since you have this (in your Favourites/on your desktop?), you must have installed 11.4 betasomething when KMail2 was still a candidate to be a part of KDE 4.6. It was withdrawn and we reverted to kdepim 4.4.6 (kmail 1). So delete KMail2 from whatever is referencing /usr/share/applications/kde4/KMail2.desktop and replace it with KMail.

This sounds like the normal first run of KMail1. Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Will, Thanks for replying. You were correct and your advice fixed it. Iwas opening withthe old Kmail icon and that caused the problem. Deleted it and made a new one. All is well now. Thanks again and we are all so glad that you watch this list. Bob S -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
