Andre.
You've got the latest correct release of amarok, and as you say you had the same problem with 2.2.1 ... so maybe the problem isn't amarok? Check the versions of your dbus bindings etc. Clean out your /var/tmp/kdecache. Try under a new user. I have 2 system running same 11.2 kde 4.4 one laptop other desktop, I ran into the same problem. On the laptop it worked fine on my desktop would crash with same error above. My amarok works now and I can reproduce the error everytime. Here is what I did on my system: The file ~/.kde4/share/config/amarok_homerc was causing the problem, I had activated a applet called info, I removed the reference to this from that file and amarok started and plays just fine. Before: [Containment 0] firstShowingApplet=3 plugins=wikipedia, videoclip, lyrics, info [Directories] dir_html[$d] dir_locale[$d] prefixes[$d] After (amarok runs fine) [Containment 0] firstShowingApplet=3 plugins=wikipedia, videoclip, lyrics [Directories] dir_html[$d] dir_locale[$d] prefixes[$d] Hope this helps someone Thanks, Tony -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
