KDE, Kate - editing remote files
Hi, Recently performed a fresh install of 9.3 from previously using 9.1... Now when opening a remote file with Kate, the file is being cached locally *but* it will no longer keep the original remote path ? i.e. when wanting to hit save it wants to save the file downloaded into the temp/cache directory instead of back to the remote site.... this did not happen in 9.1.... Is there some configuration setting that needs setting to get back the orginal functionality ? Also, the FTP directory in the KDE File Manager... in 9.1 I could edit an existing ftp_file by right clicking, open with editor, edit for the new site, and save as a new ftp_ file, close KDE FileManager and then reopen and click the the ftp-site icon... Now.... in 9.1 I can't even right click to edit.... Is there a formal way of adding new ftp sites to the FileManager ? -- devosc
